The Missouri Community Action Network (CAN) is pleased to offer Asthma Educator Training through the University of Missouri.  

Becoming an Asthma Educator and Care Manager (BAECM) © 6-hour (6 CME hours) workshop is offered as a face-to-face training. This training is required for designation as a mid-level asthma worker and member of the Missouri Asthma Educator Network (MAEN). Members are then eligible for other credentialing through additional on-line training for use of population-specific standardized asthma education curricula (ABC, ACE, or CARR). EPR3 Highlights© - which provides an overview of the most recent (2007) national asthma guidelines (Expert Panel Report 3: Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma). This course certifies that those who complete the course and conduct 5 home visits with a mentor is credentialed to deliver asthma education home visits under MO Medicaid.

Date and Time:  July 24, 2017 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Registration at 9:30.  The course will start promptly at 10:00.
