The 2017 Missouri CAN Annual Conference is rapidly approaching!  This year we have incredible keynotes, workshops, and networking opportunities that will help us in "Becoming One Community Action". We will be focusing on innovation, leadership, communication, and technology through a variety of workshop sessions and keynotes.  The conference is a great opportunity to network with community partners and Community Action staff!

DATES:    April 4-6, 2017 

The conference is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. (with registration available from 7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) on Tuesday, April 4th and will close on Thursday, April 6th by 12:30 p.m. This year, the conference will be held at The University Plaza Hotel in Springfield, MO.

In addition, we are pleased to offer four pre-conference sessions: Board Training, Emerging Leaders, MIS/Case Management, and a visit with OACAC's Head Start facilities  on Tuesday, April 4th starting at 8:30 a.m. at the hotel. View the conference registration packet with more details here

LODGING

Sleeping rooms are available at a rate of $96.00 for a king or two queen beds per night. The deadline for hotel reservations is March 6, 2017. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis only, and we cannot guarantee the conference room rate will be honored. If University Plaza is full Monday evening, rooms can be reserved at the Holiday Inn Express which is within walking distance from University Plaza. Please utilize the following link and reference MAC as the group code. 

 

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

Please note:  Registrations made on/after 3/20/17 are still available, but cancellations/refunds will be charged a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be available if registration is cancelled after 3/27/17. All cancellations must be submitted via email to registrar@communityaction.org. Substitutions are encouraged.

Missouri CAN members and CAA staff will need to log into their Missouri CAN account before registering in order to receive the discounted member rate.

To support speakers and scholarships for this conference, federal funds provide approximately 2.9% of $685,000 received from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) provided by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Family Support Division, as well as 14% of $89,400 received from the Office of Community Services through the 7th Regional Performance Innovative Consortia.
