Missouri CAN is pleased to offer our Poverty Simulation Facilitator Training. This training is highly recommended for organizations using the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) kit.

The facilitator training will allow participants to become familiar with the components of the CAPS kit, the facilitation process, and tips for conducting an efficient and effective simulation. Participants will also experience the poverty simulation on the first day of training. This will help your organization effectively utilize the simulation to educate your community about poverty.

March 20, 2017  1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

March 21, 2017  8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Additional Info:  Limited to 80 participants.  Lunch provided on the second day.

Event Registration:  Registration includes training and all materials, and lunch on the second day.  Breakfast is complimentary with hotel reservations.

There is no cost for this training if you are employed with a Missouri Community Action Agency and you register by the early bird deadline of Feb 27, 2017

MO CAA staff that register after that date will incur a $50 registration fee.

Hotel Registration:  A block of rooms has been reserved for the nights of March 19, 20, and 21. To make sleeping room reservations, use this link or please call 1-800-Hiltons and let them know that you are attending the Missouri Community Action Network training. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Kansas City Internaitional Airport, a complimentary breakfast for all registered guests, and complimentary parking. The cost of the sleeping room is $115.00 (single) plus tax. The deadline for reservations at the hotel is Feb 27, 2017.

Cancellation policy:  All cancellations must be in writing, and there will be a $50 cancellation fee for ALL registrations cancelled after March 4, 2017.  The cancellation fee is waived if there is a substitution.
