The Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) is an interactive, immersion experience that gives participants a glimpse into life on low-income. In order to most effectively utilize this tool with your constituency, Missouri CAN encourages all CAPS kit users to invest in the Poverty Simulation Facilitator Training.* During the first day of this event, all participants will experience the Poverty Simulation as family members. Then on day two, participants will gain the skills necessary to plan, promote, direct, and facilitate a Poverty Simulation in their own community.

Event Registration: Registration includes training, materials, and lunch on the second day. Breakfast is complimentary with hotel reservations (2 per room). Registration is limited to 80 participants, and this event fills to capacity quickly.

½ price for every 3rd, 6th, 9th registrant:

$180.00 on or before February 23, 2018 or

$205.00 after February 23, 2018

There is no cost for this training if you are employed by a Missouri Community Action Agency and register before the early bird deadline of February 23, 2018. In order to receive this discount, please sign into your individual NEON account prior to registering. MO CAA staff that register after this date will incur a $50 registration fee.

Hotel Registration: A block of rooms has been reserved for the nights of March 18, 19, and 20. Your hotel room reservation and conference registration guarantees complimentary breakfast (2 per room) and free parking. Single and double room rates are $118.00 plus tax. The deadline for reservations at the Hilton is February 23, 2018.

Cancellation policy: All cancellations must be in writing, and there will be a $50 cancellation fee for ALL registrations cancelled after February 23, 2018. The cancellation fee is waived if there is a substitution.
