Description

Great design is essential for effective visual communication and storytelling. But where do you start when you have folder full of images, words to write, a big idea to convey and a deadline to meet? Missouri CAN is hosting a communication workshop for agencies titled “Design 101: Principles of Design” on Thursday, December 6, 2018 to equip you with a solid foundation of core design principles for use in all projects using images and words.

This workshop includes examples, demonstration and design theory, as well as the opportunity to review past projects and apply core concepts to your future work. You’ll learn to:

- Identify 8 basic principles of design.

Apply principles of design to upcoming communications projects.

Critique personal work for effective design communication.

Whether you are new to the principles of visual design or are interested in a refresher, you’ll gain understanding to the components that fuel great design.

To prepare for this workshop and get the most out of this learning experience, please bring the following items with you to the training on Thursday, December 6:

Examples of three recent communications projects
A current/upcoming communications piece or project – can be an idea or a work-in-progress (good timing to bring your annual report if in the works!)

Training will be held at the Missouri CAN office, located at 2014 William Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109. This workshop is free of cost, but requires registration. Please click on the link below to register. Training is limited to 25 participants.
