Description

Did you know that the Community Action movement has its roots in the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964?

Or that by 1965, all 114 of Missouri’s counties were served by a local Community Action Agency?

Today, there are more than 1,000 Community Action Agencies nationwide that serve nearly 99% of the counties and territories of the United States.

As a Community Action agency employee, YOU are part of a vast network of individuals united around a common mission to alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty.

Missouri CAN’s United in Purpose training will introduce new employees to the history, vision, and values of Community Action. During this virtual training, you’ll learn about the structure of the nationwide Community Action movement—what makes it unique—and the things that bind CAA staff together.

Working for a Community Action agency, it’s not just a job.

You are part of a movement. Learn more on December 9.
